Greetings! I'm so happy you could make it!

And for those of you who don't happen to be lucky enough to actually be Unicorns, you are just as welcome to stay as long as you don't disturb the peace!

You'll have to excuse the spartan surroundings, but I don't have a lot in the way of resources just now. Soon, though, I'll have the grounds beautifully arranged!

Who am I? Well, to be honest, I'm a little mixed on that myself. As for my background, my grandfather was a Unicorn, hence my affinity. My father is a Vampire. It's very rare, but they can sire children, in the living Human manner. As a result, my upbringing has been rather tumultuous, to say the least. My diet is almost truly omnivorous, and I don't actually need to breath. But it's difficult to explain to another why you haven't taken a breath in ten minutes. Most people don't understand, and some are actively antagonistic. You could say that this sanctuary is for me as much as the Unicorns.

I'm married to a man who can't manage to stay in this time. He seems to like hopping about quite a bit. I do have to admit though that some of the trinkets he brings back can be quite useful, such as the energy pod which uses what everyone else doesn't as a fuel. Needless to say, we don't have a waste disposal problem, here. Unfortunately, he seems to spend most of his time (irony there) in the English Renaissance, around the reign of Queen Elizabeth. Not only are the trips expensive, but he brings back little of use, and is gone for extended periods. Oh, and his name is Seamus MacLeod.

We have no children, and I don't feel particularly sanguine about bringing children up to deal with the same dificulties I've had. Children can be cruel to those they don't understand. But I am host to a few Cats: Boris Catenov [the 'adult'] Dirk "the Daring" Gently [the teen] (who moved away at the advent of puppies, but has returned) and Atilla [the kitten] are currently terrorizing the household. They are our children for now. And mischevous scamps they are, too!

When next I update, I hope to be adding picture galleries of the four-footed destructors.
